Aimee
Owner
Hello, hello, my name is Aimee and this introduction is way overdue. Some of you may remember me. I originally started grooming in 2012 for Pat and Liah at the Grooming Lodge here in Barrington, until I left to take over the Midwest School of Pet Grooming in Long Grove.
I am an extreme lover of dogs and I have six of my own at home. Dogs make perfect sense to me, and I consider every dog I meet a friend. I might not remember your name, but I will always remember your dog’s name. I could never pick a favorite breed, I seriously love them all. I have a passion for working with anxious or difficult dogs, and adore older dogs. My greatest moments are seeing a dog that struggles with grooming, gain trust and learn how to cope with the process.
I am most often found in Long Grove, teaching new generations of groomers, but I am blessed to have an amazing team of ladies here at The Grooming Lodge who mirror the same methods and principles as mine. They are the ones that bring the love and attention to your pet that I think is unique to our brand. So welcome, we are glad you are here and hope you like the changes we have made.
Hailey
Manager / Groomer
Hey there, I’m Hailey! I’m a groomer and manager here!
I went to grooming school in 2018, while working at a local veterinary hospital. I always had a passion for dogs, but also loved doing hair. What better career, than one that combines both?! I have a passion for senior dogs who need extra TLC! I love to turn a basic pet trim into a more stylized look whenever I’m given the freedom! My favorite breeds are Giant Schnauzers, Kerry Blue Terriers and German Wirehaired Pointers! So bring them my way!

Jordan
Groomer
Hi my name is Jordan! I graduated top of my class with “grooma cum laude” in 2022! I decided to pursue grooming for the love of all animals and found the love for helping make your pets beautiful! I love the transFURmation process and making your pet feel safe and happy by the end of their groom! I hope you enjoy my grooms as much as i love the processes of grooming your fur babies!
Thank you!
Jamie
Groomer
Hi, my name is Jamie.
I graduated grooming school November of 2021. I started later in life after raising my two boys. I started working with dogs as a dog walker and gravitated toward grooming. I love the creativity and beauty of it all and of course all my fur friends. I really love how the fur babies look so happy and proud after being groomed and I hope you love it too. My favorite breeds are Airedale’s, Welsh’s and pretty much any terrier… and shihtzus!!!

Casey
Groomer
Hi, I’m Casey!
I’m 26 years old, born and raised in McHenry. I’ve been in the field since 2018. I picked up work as a bather at a salon while attending college. I fell so in love with the work and environment, I decided to hault my studies after my ADA to make the move to become a Professional Dog Groomer! After graduating from grooming school, I started working here at the Grooming Lodge. And I have loved being here since 2020!
I’d love to create some unique looks whether that be a mullet, shape detailing, Mohawks, poms, and maybe some color?
Let’s have some fun, see you soon.
Allie
Groomer
Hello, my name is Allie. I graduated from grooming school in 2022 and have been passionate about working with dogs for as long as I can remember. From a young age, I dreamed of a career centered around animals, and as I grew older, I developed a special interest in creative dog grooming.
I currently own a Standard Poodle who regularly sports fresh and fun hair colors each month, allowing me to explore my creativity. Some of my favorite breeds to work with include Pit Bulls, Greyhounds, and Great Pyrenees. I’m excited to continue growing in this field and sharing my love for animals with you all!

Wait a minute, what happened to Pat?
Pat had an opportunity to start a new chapter in life and he took it. He moved down to Mississippi, bought himself a house, a cute little shop and is living the slower pace of Southern life and says he loves the weather. If he could have, he would have said goodbye, but in typical Pat fashion, when he set his sights on a goal, he made it happen quickly and efficiently.
I (Aimee) owe my success in this profession to Pat and Liah. They took me in as a student and opened their arms wide to me at a time in life when I truly needed direction. I grew under their mentorship and was given the honor of taking over what they had created. I have traditional groomer training, with a constantly evolving perspective on grooming trends and methods. Some things have changed a little in our industry and that’s a good thing!
At the Grooming Lodge, we don’t just groom your dog, we create an experience for your pet. We understand the needs of dogs, beyond the specifics of a haircut. That is not to say your dog won’t look great, of course they will but we also focus on their overall well being. Does your dog have itchy skin? We will deep-condition at no extra cost to help improve the balance of their skin. Does your dog shake and dread the groomer? We will offer encouragement and patience for pets that are nervous. We take the time to get to know what your pet needs to address both their physical and mental wellbeing.
